Founder’s Note
“For us at the Hospital Emergency Response Foundation, this mission is deeply personal.
The idea for HERF was born in the aftermath of a tragic loss, the kind of loss too many Nigerian families are forced to endure due to road crashes and the lack of immediate, informed care. Even when help arrives, it’s often not enough. Not because people don’t care, but because they simply don’t know what to do. That reality became a turning point.
HERF was established to change that — to ensure that more Nigerians have the training and courage to act decisively in the moments that matter most.
We are here because we’ve experienced the pain. And we are committed to building a system where no one must suffer an avoidable pain. Through training, public education, and partnership, we are creating a future where more lives are saved, more families are spared, and more people become part of the solution.
We invite you to join us.”
